With more and more advancements in eCommerce technology, starting an online business now is comparatively easier than it was some years ago. But doing so needs a good amount of investment, both time and money-wise. So, sellers hire eCommerce service providers, like ChannelAdvisor. These companies provide solutions that can help sellers easily manage their online business.

But they charge unfairly high amounts for the same. Here we will discuss how ChannelAdvisor pricing and fees are a real issue for sellers and how other ChannelAdvisor alternatives can help them.

Note: ChannelAdvisor offers different price lists to different sellers. But it hasn’t revealed the pricing structure of its eCommerce solution anywhere. So, we took all the pricing details from the previous ChannelAdvisor sellers, and there is a chance you may find prices more or less in reality.

What is the real issue with ChannelAdvisor pricing?

ChannelAdvisor was once a well-known solution and service provider for online merchants. The reason was the lack of competition and the absence of other service providers. At that point, most ChannelAdvisor users didn’t realize that they were paying an overly high price for using their service.

But, how much does a seller pay to use ChannelAdvisor services?

Well, a seller has to pay about $20,000 to $60,000 per annum, depending on the number of ChannelAdvisor modules you want to use. This amount gets on increasing as you add a number of extensions you want to use. In addition to this, you have to pay some additional charges like implementation fees, setup costs, and extra launch support. It doesn’t end here, you are also charged with VAT and commissions.

“You think ChannelAdvisor pricing is the only issue faced by sellers. Then, read the complete list of common ChannelAdvisor challenges to get a clear picture.”

The Channel Advisor pricing model is incomplete without commission fees. Read below.

Commissions Charges on Services

ChannelAdvisor charges commissions when your monthly revenue exceeds the amount you specified while signing the contract. (Yes! They will make you sign the contract) And the ChannelAdvisor commission rate is upto 4% of your monthly revenue.

In addition to this, some marketplaces also charge around 4% commission. So, you have to pay a minimum of 7 to 8% commission every month for multichannel selling.

Suppose you earned $60,000 after using ChannelAdvisor services. Now, you have to pay about $4,800 as a commission (4% to CA and 4% to the marketplace).
